Prayer with Valerie Woerner
On today’s episode of the Journeywomen podcast, I chatted with Valerie Woerner of Val Marie Paper Company. We talked about everything from the purpose of prayer to how it works in conjunction with the other spiritual disciples. I confessed that prayer is one of the most humbling aspects of my walk with the Lord, and I walked away encouraged to take advantage of the real privilege we have to grow in intimacy with God through prayer. I am so thankful that Christ came so that we can be in true fellowship with God by the power of the Holy Spirit. What a gift to get to converse with him because of what Christ has done for us!

Sharing Life and the Gospel with Cierra Bragan
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast I chatted with my real-life friend Cierra Bragan about sharing life and the Gospel both locally and cross-culturally. We talked about everything from feeling the nervous jitters before we share our faith, to fighting off feelings of inadequacy and resting in who we know Christ to be and what he is capable of. Throughout the entire interview Cierra beautifully articulates the Gospel and encourages us to rest IN the Gospel at all times. She said, “What he requires he supplies, and he’s done that in Jesus. That’s just beautiful. It’s not Jesus plus, or Jesus in addition to my good works, or Jesus in addition to my Sunday School attendance. It is Christ alone.”

Stewarding our Gifts for God's Glory with Ashlee Gadd
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast, we chatted with Ashlee Gadd about stewarding our gifts. We talked about everything from how to determine what our giftings actually are to how we can use them for God’s glory and not our own. I really appreciated her vulnerability, on this topic, and we pray you are encouraged by our conversation!

Journeywomen Christmas Special with Kimberly Wootten
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast I chatted with my friend, Kimberly Wootten, about all things Christmas! As wonderful as the gifts, traditions, and symbolism around Christmas can be, we’re right there with you feeling on the brink of overwhelmed and over-programmed. If you’re burned out by all that you’ve committed to, we want to encourage you with the grace of the true Christmas message: we don’t have to do it all, because Christ has done it all for us. Praise the Lord that even in the hustle of the holidays we are presented with practical opportunities to embrace the actual meaning of Christmas as we look away from ourselves and look to Jesus. We hope you feel encouraged to do that even now!

Idols of the Heart with Emily Jensen
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast, I chatted with Emily Jensen about idols of the heart. We discuss everything from our personal struggles with idolatry to practical ways we can move forward in repentance after seeing our sin. If you know Emily, it goes without saying that we talked about resting in the grace of the gospel. She said, “It’s always important to remember with idolatry like, this isn’t something that we do on our own. This is something God did on our behalf. That causes us to just be humble and grateful and in awe of God. That’s a key thing. When we are in awe of God and when we are grateful for what he has done, it makes us want to worship Him more and it helps us deal with our idol problem.”

Loving God's Word with Gretchen Saffles
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast, I chatted with Gretchen Saffles of Well-Watered Women about loving God’s Word. Ya'll know this is my favorite topic! I asked Gretchen to chat with me because I know she's passionate about encouraging and equipping women to get into the Word of God and find their identity and purpose in Christ. Gretchen is the founder of Well-Watered Women, an online women's ministry that reaches worldwide, has written several Bible studies, and is the creator of the "Give Me Jesus" quiet time journal for women. Through her online ministry, she longs to meet women right where they are with the hope of the gospel and ignite a desire in their hearts to know Jesus more. On any given day you can find her with a coffee cup in hand, a toddler by her side, a message stirring in her soul, and a God-sized dream on her heart.
