10 Years of Journeywomen

AND WHAT’S AHEAD

When we released our first podcast in June 2017, we couldn’t have imagined what Journeywomen would become nearly ten years later. The ministry has grown and changed over the years, and by God’s grace, so have we. Our love for God and his Word has deepened, our families have grown, we’ve moved all over the country, and we’ve had the privilege of seeing God at work in local churches across the U.S. and around the world through the relationships formed along the way.

Looking back, we are filled with gratitude for God’s goodness to us. He has faithfully given us the opportunity to steward Journeywomen through many different seasons—and now, as we approach ten years of ministry in June 2027, we believe it’s time to enter a new one.

After much prayer, conversation, and wise counsel, we’ve made the hard but important decision to transition Journeywomen into what we’re endearingly calling the “Legacy Phase” in June 2027.

Between now and then, we’ll continue sharing the same kind of new content you know and love. And when we enter the Legacy Phase, Journeywomen isn’t going away. While we will no longer produce new podcasts, website content, or social media after June 2027, our existing podcast episodes, articles, and downloadable resources will remain free and available online. Our hope is that these resources will continue serving women for many years to come.

It has been a deep joy and privilege to journey alongside you from afar. Over the years, you’ve shared stories with us about an episode or resource God used at just the right time. We’ve heard from women who have grown in their love for God and his Word, invested more deeply in their local churches, discipled other women, and found hope and freedom in the gospel. We are incredibly humbled by the ways God has chosen to use Journeywomen in the lives of women around the world, and we give him all the praise.

We wish we could sit down with each of you and hear your story of how God has used Journeywomen in your life. (And if you’d like to share it with us, we would truly love to hear from you!)

As we enter these final months of creating new content, we do so with deep gratitude—for you, for the last decade, and most of all, for the faithfulness of God. He is the one who has made this ministry possible, and we trust that he will continue his good work in each of us as we seek to know and love him, invest deeply in our local churches, and go out on mission for his glory.

  • As we’ve prayed, sought counsel from our Board, and discussed the future together, it has become clear that, to be faithful with what God has set before us in our current season, we need to set down this work at Journeywomen. Each member of our team is in a different place today than we were 10 years ago. God has used Journeywomen to grow us through this season of working together, and we trust him to use what he has taught us in future seasons in different ways. As a team, we absolutely love working together and will continue to cheer one another on in our personal and professional lives.

  • As we approach the end of the year and prepare for year-end fundraising, we want to be transparent about where Journeywomen is headed and how we'll use the funds we receive. Gifts made during this final season of active ministry will help fund our remaining months of content creation through June 2027, as well as the ongoing costs of keeping Journeywomen’s existing resources available for years to come.

    While we will no longer produce new content after June 2027, we still have some ongoing expenses to maintain our resource library. We hope the content God has allowed us to create over the past decade will continue to serve women around the world long after our final episode is released, and we would be grateful for your help in making that possible.

  • We have podcast episodes planned through the end of 2026, and another series planned for spring 2027. We will release our final podcast episode on June 7, 2027, at our 10-year anniversary. After this episode, we will no longer release new content. We will continue sending monthly newsletters and will send our final monthly “Journeying Alongside You” newsletter on June 1, 2027. After June 2027, Journeywomen will not create or release any new content. 

  • We feel strongly that God has allowed us to steward this work for the past decade, and we want it to continue being available for use in the future. 

    ​Past Journeywomen episodes will remain free and accessible online, where you can listen wherever you get your podcasts.

    We hope all of our content will remain free to use for as long as financially possible. Maintaining our website costs money, and we hope to cover it through the generous donations of our longtime listeners and supporters.

  • Yes! Our listeners and supporters' generous giving will allow us to continue releasing content in these final months. We hope to fully fund Journeywomen’s final months of active ministry through June 2027. Any remaining funds will help us preserve and maintain our library of more than 250 podcast episodes and other online resources, keeping them freely available for years to come.

  • For now, our social media pages will remain online, though we will not post after June 2027.

  • Hunter, as a wife and mother of five, is looking forward to investing further in her kids' lives as her oldest enters her teen years and her youngest celebrates his first birthday the same month Journeywomen’s Legacy Phase begins. She will continue faithfully serving in her local church, teaching the Bible, and discipling women. Hunter is passionate about the Word of God, and you will see more from her in the future.

    Kimberly, as a military spouse and mother of two, is eager to support her husband as he retires from military service in the next few years and support her family’s desire to be more rooted and established in Texas. She plans to finish out her master’s degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and continue teaching the Bible and discipling women.

    Lauren, as a wife and mother of two, releases her first book in May 2027. She hopes to continue using her gift and love for writing to serve her local church and minister to women in hard places. She and her husband also prayerfully desire to continue growing their family.

    Lainee, as a wife and mother of four, releases her first kids' book in March 2027. Lainee homeschools full-time and regularly uses her fringe hours to write and edit. She is excited to continue serving her local church.
